Pauline Taylor
BSc (Soc. Sc.) MNSPH HBCE
Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist,
HypnoBirthing
®
 Practitioner and Fertility Therapist

I am a full member of the National Society of Professional Hypnotherapists. I completed my clinical hypnotherapy training in 2003 with the Scottish School of Hypnotherapy.

My first experience with hypnotherapy was twenty-eight years ago when my dentist used hypnosis with me during dental treatment. After this I used hypnosis at various times in my life (even having surgery under hypnosis) until I eventually decided to become a hypnotherapist over 10 years ago.

I am also in partnership with Neil Robinson in Edinburgh Stop Smoking.   Click: www.edinburgh-stop-smoking.co.uk   Neil and I regularly see individuals and couples who are aware of the consequences of smoking when they have children in the house and we also see many couples who are aware that smoking affects fertility when they are trying to conceive.

I am the most experienced Registered HypnoBirthing Practitioner in Edinburgh and the Lothians.  I have been a Certified HypnoBirthing Practitioner for over ten years and have worked with over 400 couples during that time and had well over 400 'HypnoBabes' (some of them are twins). Please read some of the many testimonials and birth stories from the couples that have taken the HypnoBirthing course with me.

In 2012 I became Regional Liason for the HypnoBirthing Institute.  My duties include promoting HypnoBirthing in Edinburgh and the Lothians as well as supporting new HypnoBirthing practitioners in the area.

I am also a Fertility Practitioner using the 'Hypnosis for Fertility' programme and now regularly have fertility mums in my HypnoBirthing classes.

As a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist I can also help with any fears, phobias or anxieties around pregnancy and birthing.  I offer sessions to help with morning sickness or turning breech babies and helping mothers to avoid induction at the birth to anyone who completes a Hypnobirthing course with me at no extra cost.

The HypnoBirthing method was developed by Marie Mongan, based on the work of the British obstetrician Grantly Dick-Read; the pioneer of modern Natural Childbirth. During my training I met several HypnoBirthing mums and their stories were so inspirational, I couldn’t wait to start helping mums to bring about calm, relaxed, natural births.

I am based in Edinburgh near to the Royal Infirmary at Little France on the south side of Edinburgh.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
